What is e-Therapy???

What is e-therapy?

E-therapy is a way to access therapy services remotely via the internet. At LET’S TALK, we currently run e-therapy via Skype. We are now also delivering e-therapy via eHAB units, such as the one now housed in the QCWA hall across the state.

What is the eHAB?

The eHAB is a multimedia videoconferencing tool designed by the University of Queensland. It is essentially an all-in-one unit which includes a laptop loaded with the required software, webcam, microphone and speakers.

How does it work?

The eHAB unit is designed to be controlled from the base unit in Brisbane. All you need to do is turn it on and wait for us to call you.

How can I access e-therapy?

Complete a referral form for LET’S TALK, or call the clinic on 3891 9111. Staff at the clinic will discuss your child’s needs with you and arrange a time for an initial session. You will need to come to the QCWA hall at the agreed time, and someone will be here to unlock the unit for you.

What types of therapy are available?

  • Speech pathology: for concerns with producing sounds in speech, using and understanding language, literacy and related difficulties.
  • Occupational therapy: for concerns with fine motor, visual learning, sensory and related difficulties.
  • Psychology: for concerns with behaviour, self-esteem, anxiety and related difficulties.

Can I use my HCWA or Better Start funding for e-therapy?

Yes! All e-therapy sessions are fully claimable under HCWA or Better Start.

How much does it cost?

30 minute sessions cost $85.00 for private clients, and $90.00 for HCWA and Better Start clients.

If you have any questions or issues, please don’t hesitate to call the LET’S TALK clinic on 3891 9111.
