RALLI: Raising Awareness of Language Learning Impairments
Recently a campaign has been launched in the UK aimed at raising awareness and understanding of Specific Language Impairment. It has been driven by world leaders in the area, who are passionate about children being appropriately identified and supported, rather than been labeled as ‘lazy’ or given an inaccurate diagnosis of ‘Intellectual Impairment’ or ‘Autism’ due to funding issues or lack of recognition of what SLI really is.
They have created a YouTube channel that has great videos explaining the campaign and what SLI is. These are a great resource to share with your family and friends, to raise awareness and understanding, as well as for explaining your child’s diagnosis of SLI.
